In 2008 the annual Neptune Festival of Virginia Beach, VA will celebrate its 35th year.

When it was first conceived, its founders wanted the festival to be a community celebration of Virginia Beach's unique heritage.

Today the Neptune Festival has evolved into one of the country's top 100 festivals and Top 10 on the East Coast. It has become a major visitor draw, bringing thousands of local visitors to the beach boardwalk and filling oceanfront hotels.

Event occurs at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Festival Weekend is free and open to the public

Businesses are turning to event marketing as a great way to advertise and supplement their overall promotional and marketing campaign.  The Neptune Festival is a unique way to get your name and message in front of over 500,000 consumers.  With Neptune’s lineup of one of a kind experiences – from live seaside concerts and athletic events to the Neptune Wine Festival and the North American Sand Sculpting Championship – we’ve fast become an annual tradition for a vast majority of our visitors.  Attendance is almost evenly split between men and women. More than half (60%) are in their peak earning years 25 to 54 and nearly half (45%) have a household income greater than $75,000. With approximately 65% of attendees from Hampton Roads, VA it has been labeled as the "weekend that the locals take the beach back."
