The Hampton Roads Convention Center is located in the geographic heart of the Hampton Roads
metropolitan area. Hampton is located in close proximity to Williamsburg, Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
Playing up Hampton’s significance as a historic seaport, the look of the Hampton Roads Convention
Center is purely nautical. Billowing canvases soar over the center’s main entrance, descending to canals
of water that extend throughout the campus.
The sprawling Hampton Roads Convention Center features 344,000 total square feet of versatile
convention and exhibit space with plenty of corporate sponsorship opportunities. There are 35 meeting
rooms, including a 28,000 square foot grand ballroom with banquet seating for more than 2,000 and a
spacious 102,000-square-foot exhibit hall that divides into three sections.
Visited by nearly 200,000 in the 2007/2008 fiscal year, the Hampton Roads Convention Center hosted
over 500 events, an increase of 23% from the first year of operation. In this third year of operation it is
anticipated that the number of events and attendees will continue to grow.
